Criteria |
| As the academic year begins, so will the pairing of
medical student mentors and undergraduate students. This year, we hope to
provide you with even more resources, more get-togethers, and more fun than the
previous years. The application is not available yet. We will post the application shortly. Once you fill out the application, we will pair you with a medical student mentor. If you would like to keep your current mentor or have a preference after the first get-together please indicate this on the new form.

•Be positive, encouraging and
supportive
•Be interested in serving as a mentor |

Expectations and Responsibilities |
|
|
•Attend and participate in initial
training
•‘Contact’** mentee at least once per
month
•Have at least one face-to-face
meeting during the academic year
•Guide mentee in developing a
career/education plan in medicine •Steer mentee towards additional resources to aid in academic or career development |
* ‘Contact’ is defined as communication with your mentee via email, phone, or face-to-face. Email response to your mentor must be within seven (7) days of the date that the email was received in your mailbox. Therefore, it is beneficial to check your email often (and at least once a week) so that you are able to satisfy this requirement. You are also required to document your contact on the provided log sheet.
