Mentorship - a formal relationship
between a student and a professional adult to further the student's
knowledge, skills or career Source: Webster's Dictionary of English Founded in 2002, the Medical Student Mentorship Program pairs current medical students at the John A. Burns School of Medicine with undergraduate students interested in pursuing a career in medicine. MSMP provides support to students applying to medical school and helps to foster relationships between undergraduates and medical students and faculty. Mentors and mentees are paired according to their academic and extra-curricular interests. Mentorship pairs participate in a variety of activities throughout the year. Looking for a mentor?... Step 3: Mentorship pairs will be posted on TBA Why Join MSMP? Mentors provide support and advice to encourage you to pursue a career in medicine. Mentorship pairings connects you with current medical students who remembers what it was like to apply to medical school. JABSOM faculty also donate their time and advice to mentees.
