Lena

Facts:

Once upon a time there was a lonely high school girl. Her father had passed away years before, her sister was away at college, and her mother worked very hard to keep the girls happy. Her mother made a lot of trips to various places around the world, and the girl was left alone in their big house. Sometimes it was scary at night, so she decided to get a dog, even though she knew that her mother would be angry.

So she went to the Hawaiian Humane Society, and saw a bunch of puppies, but all were already signed up for. The girl put her name on the adoption list, and sadly began to walk out to the parking lot. Just outside the entrance a few people had gathered and were looking at a little white puppy! The woman who had brought it explained that all the ruppie's sister's and brothers had been sold, and this was the only one left. If someone didn't want it, she was going to give it tothe humane society.

"How Much?" the girl stepped forward to ask. The answer was, "$25, and you have to pick the puppy up at Aloha Animal Hospital and pay for it's first vaccination shots." The girl asked some more questions and found that the puppy was a girl, the runt of the litter and she was some kind of mix of White German Shepherd, Labrador and Bull Terrier!

The puppy was off-white, with floppy ears, and a round tummy. She was as friendly as ever, and soft as can be. "I'll take her." the girl said, and the arrangemants were made to pick the puppy up at the animal hospital at 3:00pm.

At the hospital, the girl saw some of the puppie's siblings. They had been given baths, and had bows in their hair!

When her puppy came out, she wasn't bathed, and didn't have a bow on her ears, but she seemed happy to see the girl. The girl paid the woman $25, and paid the vet even more, loaded the puppy into her car and went home. Forom then on the two were inseperable. They went everywhere together, and were both, not lonely anymore.

The puppy was given the name: Pua-lenalena-Pua'a. Which means: Off-white flowering Pig because that is what she looked like in her baby days! But everyone just calls her "Lena" for short.

And that is how Lena joined Mie the Pooh's Family Zoo.
