2004 Archive

December, 2005

Wednesday, December 14, 2005 - Christmas draws near and Final Exam week is almost over. Thanks to my ITS 157 class, I've finally learned how to "properly" use Dreamweaver. I MAY be converting this site to a Dreamweaver-friendly format later on - many of the changes will probably be internal, meaning you won't notice much of a difference. Don't worry, that's a good thing.

November, 2005

Saturday, November 26, 2005 - Happy Turkey Day everyone! Hope you had an awesome Thanksgiving Day feast and an enjoyable (but I'm guessing hectic) After-Thanksgiving Day shopping spree. Made a small update to the Anime List. Additionally, the Yu Gi Oh decks in progress page will no longer be available on my site. The page will still be stored here, so those whom already have a link to it can view it at any time, but I will not be updating it anymore.

Sunday, November 13, 2005 - Made some internal changes to the code to clean up readability. Anime List received a minor update. Can't wait for KoF XI.

Friday, November 4, 2005 - Today marks the one year "anniversary" of my mother's passing. It's been one heck of a rocky year, as I continue to struggle from the sudden change in my family's lifestyle. The final few days last year were rough - my birthday that happened just 2 days ago pales in comparison to this event. Mother, may you rest in peace, and be in a place that is better than here. -- For my birthday, I bought Star Wars Battlefront II for PC, and might I say it's one heck of a fun game, but then again, the first one was a lot of fun also. Minor code changes to the webpage - with an automatically updating "Last Modified" section near the bottom of the page. A few new anime I've been watching has been added to the list.

Additionally, a friend of mine from Orochinagi posted up a little interesting bit of info about our life as a young adult that made me shake my head in agreement:

"I'm sick of 20-somethings. I'm tired of how we think we know everything and arrogantly point an opinion for the sake of "just being honest" (being honest and being an asshole are NOT THE SAME THING, idiot). If I hear anyone start an argument with the sentence "look, I'm being honest, deal" I'm gonna start hitting them. No actually, I'm gonna spend 10 years learning martial arts, boxing and bodybuilding, and THEN hit them. I'm sick of retarded "battle of the sexes" bullshit, and people who go on to morbid extremities just cause being Politically Correct sucks. Of how we're cynical about everything and hate on anyone who DARES believe in something or be optimistic. All in the name of "growing up" (whatever that means) and "being realistic" (yeah riiiiiiiight) Teenage years weren't any better, but at least there was more fun. Growing up is for jerks and metrosexuals :D I am so gonna build myself a hermitry in some mountains when I retire :D"

September, 2005

Thursday, September 22, 2005 - Anime list updated. About Me page updated. A majority of my free time is being spent playing Phantasy Star Online: Blue Burst. Check it out here.

August, 2005

Thursday, August 25, 2005 - Y HALLO THAR. Just letting you know I haven't gone anywhere. I'll probably rewrite my review for Gradius V later on, but until then, nothin' new.

June, 2005

Saturday, June 18, 2005 - I decided to ditch playing Star Wars Galaxies since it refused to connect on my computer and completely engross myself in PSO. I currently have a level 97 Fomarl, which is basically one of THE best cooperative characters in the game. My kinda class.

May, 2005

Wednesday, May 25, 2005 - Anime List updated. This week's highlght: Pita Ten. I've currently started playing Phantasy Star Online Blue BUrst, but hopefully that's gonna taper off once I have to realize I gotta start paying for it once the beta is over. Did I mention I've yet to go a day without having to restart my PC due to some random screw-up?

Tuesday, May 17, 2005 - Some updates. I learned that my PC's hyperthreading technology can only be harnessed if I have Windows XP, so I have no choice but to upgrade my current 2k installation. Next, I had a slight dilemma when it came to trying to find a networking solution for the Mac that was moved to my sister's room without having a longass wire going down my house's hallway. Obviously wireless is the way to go. However, the biggest problem here was that there were almost NO alternate wireless cards available for the Macintosh. AirPort is overpriced and is unnecessary for my setup. Luckily, CompUSA was having a sale on its LinkSys products, and a little research told me that the AirPort cards ran on the same chipset as the LinkSys cards that were on sale... LinkSys does NOT support this at all - it's something you simply learn from researching. With that information in hand, I went to CompUSA and bought a LinkSys Wireless-G Router and LinkSys WIreless-G SpeedBoost PCI card. After some configuration troubles, the information was right. My Mac THOUGHT it had the overpriced AirPort card installed and it was able to pick up my router in a snap. Setup on the PC side for the router was also ridiculously easy. Anime list update.

Friday, May 13, 2005 - Friday the 13th. Nuff said. Anime list updated. I FINALLY got my PC assembled, and as I expected, I went through a whole lotta trouble to get this POS running. I've currently begun playing Star Wars Galaxies and have been doing a lotta stuff on the PC that I was unable to do on my Mac. I still miss the cleanliness of the user interface (my work rhythm feels "wrong" in Windoze) and the sheer stability of - well - everything. I have things crashing on me every day, and that's even with me cleaning my computer of spyware and whatnot... bleh.

April, 2005

Saturday, April 30, 2005 - It's amazing how awesome the Macintosh experience is. I just installed Tiger (Mac OS X 10.4) on my FIVE YEAR OLD G4 and it went flawlessly. Only ONE app refused to work, and that thing was already years old, so I'm not surprised. I only had to install new versions of many of my Application Enhancement utilities (WindowShade, FruitMenu, etc.) and one of my Safari Enhancement utilities. Now I'm back and everything looks faster, nicer, and CLEANER. Dashboard is an AWESOME feature, while Spotlight adds yet another feature to Mac OS X that leaves Windows XP behind in the dust. Mac users: You have absolutely NO reason not to get this upgrade. It works, and it works better! The list updated, as usual.

Friday, April 22, 2005 - Fixed the code for the note. Updated anime list.

Tuesday, April 19, 2005 - List updated once more. This week's highlight: Tenshi na Konamaiki (Cheeky Angel). And... a note to my friends.

Saturday, April 9, 2005 - List updated. Considering doing a video game review, but dunno what.

Tuesday, April 5, 2005 - Sleep would be nice. You know what got updated.

Saturday, April 2, 2005 - A lazy Saturday. The List is updated, with the About Me page also receiving an update.

Friday, April 1, 2005 - Happy April Fools Day! No jokes here, just an update to the Anime List. This week's highlight: Magical Lyrical Girl Nanoha.

March, 2005

Saturday, March 26, 2005 - Anime list updated AGAIN with some descriptions for the ones I like. This week's highlight: AIR.

Friday, March 18, 2005 - Hey everyone... updated the Anime List with lots of new stuff, also put up a review for Katamari Damacy for PS2. Play it, you'll like it. If you don't, yer stupid. :P

Tuesday, March 8, 2005 - Blowing off work since the beginning of 2005, comes the updated Anime List, updated About Me page, and OMG a review for the most underrated, overlooked, and all-time funnest game of the year, Katamari Damacy.

Sunday, March 6, 2005 - Yeah, the usual. About Me page updated.

Saturday, March 5, 2005 - It's updated again. I also added a review for Gradius V on the Video Game Reviews page.

Friday, March 4, 2005 - Yeah, it's updated. This is what happens when you get a 250 GB hard drive on sale...

Wednesday, March 2, 2005 - You know, I'm updating that Anime List page a lot more than I thought I would. A highlight of that page's update: Rozen Maiden. Galaxy Angel GBA FAQ updated.

February, 2005

Monday, February 28, 2005 - PC friends were telling me the link color was too light. Fixed. A more refined anime list updated again.

Saturday, February 26, 2005 - Anime list updated.

Tuesday, February 22, 2005 - Added a list of Anime I've watched. Since this page is very minor, I don't have it added to the table on the left.

Saturday, February 5, 2005 - Placeholder added to VG Reviews page for the game Galaxy Angel, Moonlit Lovers. I read up a little more on it and it seems like it's based on the GA Manga I'm reading, so I'm kinda interested in what goes on. I hope Broccoli makes a pure Starfighter game so I can actually pilot the Angel Frames.

Friday, February 4, 2005 - Placeholder added to VG Reviews page for the game Galaxy Angel, Eternal Lovers (sequel to Galaxy Angel, Moonlit Lovers, I guess?) to be released on February 24.

Thursday, February 3, 2005 - I've made a Galaxy Angel GBA FAQ. The FAQ has been submitted to GameFAQs and will most likely be posted within the next week. You can get a copy of it from my site here.

Tuesday, February 1, 2005 - New review added to VG Reviews page.

January, 2005

Sunday, January 30, 2005 - New deck added to YGO DIP page. Actually, it's a modified version of an old deck but - uh - you know what I mean.

Saturday, January 29, 2005 - Made some cosmetic fixes to various pages. New review for my video game reviews page. Fixed the 2004 Archive link... didn't know it was broken. There's a big Advanced Format Yu Gi Oh! Tourney out in Millilani happening today. Wish me luck!

Friday, January 28, 2005 - New school schedule sucks. Got rid of intro page. Fixed modification dates - still thinking it's 2004... argh! Added a new deck to the YGO DIP page. Additions/modification to About Me page and more links added to Links page.

Saturday, January 15, 2005 - Just made some page modifications to some incorrect code. Nothin' new otherwise.

Sunday, January 9, 2005 - Crunch time returns. Let school begin once again! Getting the hang of this CSS stuff... more stuff on your side should work, and there should be a LOT less work on my side for styles and stuff. Friggin' awesome. CSS1 support should be available in somewhat modern browsers... doesn't seem to work properly in iCab, which was my favorite legacy browser of all time.

Saturday, January 8, 2005 - Website revision. I'm trying to figure out how to do tables to make this stuff look good, but I'm coming up short. I'm gonna figure out how to use CSS for all this junk and how to embed tables within tables without getting myself lost. If you got no friggin' idea what I just said, just ignore it. New background, and soon a new deck.
