I was born and grew up in Abilene, Texas, and graduated from McMurry University in Abilene with a degree in secondary education. My teaching fields were in Math and English. I also attended University of Texas at Arlington, Texas A&M and Hardin Simmons University.

My husband and I moved to Maui immediately following my college graduation. I was employed by Hawaiian Commercial & Sugar Company for twelve years. At HC&S I held various positions in the Accounting and Industrial Engineering departments. When I left the company, I was a cost analyst/accountant in the Budgeting section. During this time I obtained my Masters in Business Administration from University of Hawaii Manoa.

I am thrilled to be teaching at Maui Community College, which allows me to combine my love for teaching and accounting. In addition to teaching, I am the treasurer for our church. When time allows, I enjoy working in our yard and reading.
