DIRECTIONS FOR ADMINISTERING THE END-OF-SEMESTER SURVEYS

FOR WRITING-INTENSIVE COURSES

The WICC in consultation with the Dean of Instruction will conduct an evaluation at the end of each semester. Its purpose is to:

• evaluate the effectiveness of the writing-intensive component of each WI course currently offered;

• determine whether each course on the WI Active List meets the Hawai'i CC Writing Intensive Guidelines to maintain its continued status on the Active List;

• improve the course before it is offered again;

• provide information for an annual report to the UH Writing Committee about the effectiveness of the WI program on our campus.
