Who:

I want to tell you a bit about myself...I am learning to do and become a lot of things. A mere one of them is a scuba diver. I am working on my PADI Rescue Diver Certification. I am the soulmate to 5W's & H aka Chris Abraham after all blue is the complimentary color to orange and vice versa. A friend is Lenny. Another is Miriam G. I eat healthy. I am learning to cook. I completed "Cooking Basic: PART 1" from Kapiolani Community College Continuing Education. I learned about cooking, and even learned to appreciate foods I wasn't quite so fond of before. Check out this recipe. I use recycled paper products in my home and do what I can to preserve the environment. I appreciate the Body Shop. My scent is be Can you smell it? MacX is my powerbook 1400c. He has been with me since Spring of 1997.

  • Best travel story: going to to meet my birth father for the first time when I was 25
  • Second best travel story: my birthmom Kathy coming to San Fancisco to meet me and my parents.

  • Favorite SciFi novel: I don't read it...I watch it Star Trek the Next Generation
  • Favorite TV shows: Chicago Hope, ER, Spin City, Fraiser
  • Favorite classic novel: E.L. Doctrow: Ragtime, Owen Wister's The Virginian, Theodore Dreiser's Sister Carrie to name a few.
  • Favorite trashy romance novelist: I'd never tell
  • Poetry I like: June Jordan, Maya Angelou, Chris Abraham
  • What I'm interested in presently: CJA, American Studies, graphic design, getting and being healthy, Martha Stewart's Living magazine, a taking care of Suzi, and often Madonna.
  • Some projects I need to finish: become gainfully employed on permanent basis
  • The thing I like most about what I do is: web publishing, read publishers catalogs, go book browsing, organize, make one of a kind books, dance, learn, write, read, cook, see films, save money, spend money
  • The thing I hate most about what I do is: procrastinate, feel fear and pain
  • Genetic deficiency that affects my career: I'm not 5'11" and probably won't get a job dancing on Broadway
  • Bad habit that will someday ruin my career:under selling myself
  • Philosophical interest: Tobacco and alcohol companies should be shut down and held accountable for contaminating the earth, her inhabitants and causing disease and destruction. Individuals have a lot of healing and growing to do in order to be happy with themselves and have functional relationships.

  • Most difficult thing I have faced: leaving my dog Suzi with my parents on the mainland while In graduate school here on this island
  • Greatest accomplishment: getting out of a dangerous relationship, graduating from college, seeking and finding my birthparents, finishing grad school, moving my Suzi to Hawaii
  • The meaning of life?: To feel, and to be part of the solution rather than part of the problem.

    What:

    I got my bachelors in women studies at the incredible institution: San Francisco State University. I first read Ain't I a Woman! as a sophomore in college. I was a TA for a Black women writers course. I took a women artists class. I have a favorite...Frida. I love to see movies. I love to read, read @ my library.

    Where and When:

    I was conceived by Kathy Cassanne and Kiwi White in Montreal, Quebec and born in 1969 in San Francisco. I was adopted by Barbara and Larry Nolan and have lived my entire life in the wonderful city of San Francisco.I left San Francisco on January 1, 1995 to move to Hawaii to pursue graduate school in library and information studies. My education was very fulfilling. Life is no longer simple.
