Primordial Images from the Postmodern Epoch
1987 - 1991
Takemoto continues
to explore the ancient/contemporary theme in sculptural form.
Primordial Images are relief and free standing assemblage works.
They are constructed of cardboard tubes, syrofoam packing containers, plastic,
sponge and plaster parts.
The sculptures are then covered with a mixture of paint, caulk and sand.
This dries into a hard, textured surface that resembles faux lava.
