Monochromatic Paintings 2000-present
| These paintings represent Takemoto's fascination with the unusual, the bizarre and the politically incorrect. He has worked on these paintings for the past three years. They explore the mysteries of the unknown, as well as the addiction to violence which exists in our society. | |||
| The Monochromatic Paintings are rather dark and bleak. Utilizing canvas tarpaulins as a support, these works investigate the inhumane side of human nature. Most of these paintings are derived from the works of past masters. These paintings embody the fact, that in spite of our ÒenlightenedÓ stage of development, homo sapiens continue to self-destruct. |
