  • This is to provoke you to think about a salient motivating belief in some other person important in your life, perhaps a relative or friend, mentor or teacher, hero or heroine.

4. Motivating beliefs evident in my own life and their effects on me and those close to me

  • Now you are asked to be both the observer and the one observed. Write descriptions of two or more motivating beliefs that you observe in yourself and also note their effects on you and those close to you. Because you will be writing as the observer (and looking at yourself from a little distance), don't use "I" or "me" or "my." Use your name and "he" or "she," "him" or "her," and "his" or "hers."
