"Welcome to the show." i hate java. I don't really have a good reason for this, I just do. Happenings lately: Wayne's bday, Juggalo Night, Outreach grades. Wayne's 25th birthday was on the third of this month, which was also girls' day. Of course I don't really celebrate girls' day anymore because I am too old. Oh well. Wayne decided to work on his birthday, something that is not unusual for him. He chose instead to take Tuesday off (the 3rd was Monday). I gave him his presents when he got home from work Monday night, well I guess it was technically Tuesday morning, but whatever. This year I gave him Notre Dame stuff since for some sick reason he's a fan of the Irish. Not that I don't like Irish people or anything; I'm Irish! As far as collegiate teams go, I prefer Michigan! Go Wolverines! I don't really follow them that close or anything; to be honest, I mostly like them because they have that big M. So back to the ND gifts. A door chime, which is like a wireless doorbell except it plays the ND fight song when you push the button. It also came with a chip that makes it play happy birthday song so I put that one in so that when he pushed the button it would play that for him. I thought that was especially clever. I also got him a ND golf towel because if I ordered $50 worth of stuff, I'd get 10% off the order. The door chime was 45 or 49 or something, so I got the cheapest thing I could find, the on sale golf towel for $5. This actually worked out really well for a variety of reasons. For one, the discount amount was 5 bucks which happened to be the price of the towel. In other words: free towel. Second, it's a really nice towerl. Much bigger and better quality than I expected. Third, W really does golf. Not very often, maybe once or twice a year, but still, he could actually put the thing to practical use. So, W loved his presents, he thought they were great. Tuesday, the 4th, we went out to celebrate for W's birthday. What did we do? We had Juggalo Night at Denny's. Aside from me and W there was Brent, Reidy, and Jamie, Reidy's gf. It was my first time meeting Jamie. She seems pretty ok personality wise. She looks kind of like my brother's exgf, Christy, which was bad for Jamie because everytime I looked at her I though, "Ugh, she looks like Christy." I realize this is not Jamie's fault that she looks how she does, that it reminds me of Christy, that I don't like Christy, or that I hold it against her that she looks this way. Poor Jamie. I was surprised though that she didn't try to act like she didn't know us while we were walking around Waikiki. She didn't really talk much so I can't really make a firm decision on her. I was comparing her to Mishel, Reid's last gf, and compared to her anyone is cool. I guess I'll have to wait and see as I get to know Jamie a little better. She does have one plus going for her, looks wise, she doesn't look all sickly aneorexic skinny like Christy, in fact she's kinda chunky. I don't have anything against thin or skinny people. Laurie's pretty thin, but at least she doesn't look sickly. She looks like someone who's just naturally thin rather than someone who's starving themselves due to their lack of self esteem or efforts to please their bfs or whatever. I like girls who aren't so obsessed with the way they look and how skinny or not they are. I mean, you shouldn't let yourself go and get all loopy but you should be able to eat normally and eat things you enjoy sometimes. So aside from meeting Jamie, JN was pretty run of the mill normal. Well, as normal as painting your face up like a clown and walking through Waikiki can be. We pretty much just went to eat and then walked around for about five minutes before heading home. We decided that this year we would go take pictures with the Easter Bunny since we have been unable to make it to see Santa, so far. We also resolved (again) to see Santa this time. In the meantime, we'll have a practice run with the EB. Shoot, I forgot what else I was supposed to talk about. oh well, until I remember...today I redid the journal indexes for previous years. I put them all on one page instead of the five separate pages there were before. I kind of like having them all together like that. Not really a big deal I guess, but you can go look at it if you like. Ok I have to go find out what my third topic was. Oh right, outreach. Grades are in for winter sessions. I guess I did ok, I got two Bs. At this point, grades don't really do much for my GPA one way or the other. My last three classes this semester are all electives and therefore my major GPA remains untouched. I wasn't really expecting any particular grades for these classes. I guess I could have hoped for As but I kind of figured I wouldn't get them because of the final exams and for whatever reasons. Actually, I honestly didn't think about what grades I would get. I knew I was passing and I knew I wouldn't get anything below a C so I guess that's about it. I have one more class to finish but since it's a regular class it lasts until May. Even if I get a C in that class my GPA will stay the same. If I got a D, which I'd have to not go to class anymore for the rest of the semester for that to happen, my GPA would fall one point, but that's not going to happen. Of course if I failed that would also affect the number but only a fool would fail the last class of the last semester of their senior year. I'm really excited to have finished all but one of my classes. I have so much extra time now since I still don't have a job. I'm kind of looking for one but not really. There hasn't been much in the paper and I've turned into a job snob. Basically because I'm almost a graduate, I refuse to consider any jobs like cashier, etc. I also don't want any food service jobs because I'm sick of those. Of course, not actually being a grad yet means I can't get a lot of jobs where that is a requirement. I guess those places must have met fools who failed to pass their last class. Anyway, my mom has given me a large list of jobs to do around the house such as painting and tiling, things that she doesn't have time to do but wants to get done before May. I figure I'll help her out since I don't have to pay rent or anything like that for a while. Then I can look for a job after I graduate in May. Spent too much time on the computer today, been here since waking up at 0800 except for the 20 minutes I left to do some pilates and get breakfast.
