"I like Shaggy, he's my friend; I like his mom 'cause she's nice to me." well, well, another month, another year. how about that. i'm sure christmas and new year's was fun and exciting for all? yah, i know. i guess i'm obliged to give my run down on the holiday season. well, not really, but i will anyway, just in case i forgot. that doesn't make much sense. nothing i've written so far has really made sense. i think because i forgot my water in the livingroom. i'm dehydrated, that's it. my brain has dried up and forgotten everything. christmas... my mom's on the mainland.. i made dinner. not really i just heated it up. well, i did make smooshed potatoes and a nice veggie platter. W made asparagus which was pretty yummy especially considering that i don't really like those little green spears. he made it with butter, garlic and sracha, that red vietnamese chili sauce stuff. oh i also made stove top stuffing. i love stove top stuffing. i've never had a homemade stuffing that could compare with the artificial goodness of stove top. oh that little red box. 'tis magic. my dad came over so it was me, dad, dad and W. we watched TV all night and had apple pie. i played with my cool electronic thermometer. it was fun. me, dad and W had opened presents earlier in the day, so we gave dad his presents to open. everything was pretty fun. new year's on the other hand was pretty boring. new year's eve i had to stay home with the animals and the house. it wasn't going to be too bad because W only had to work a few hours and planned to be home well before 12. enter the evil, wretched demon that is domino's, in the form of a well rounded supervisor. W ended up working at the Laie store, which in case you are not familiar with the geography of this place, is an hour's drive from my house. not only did he have to work there but he had to CLOSE there... being new year's eeve they got to close an hour early, at 10, but it still takes 30-60 minutes to leave the store after closing and then add his hour drive back. he was stuck witha fairly new driver who flooded the back of the store. W drove up the driveway at 12 on the dot. if you ask me, i find it pretty convenient that the manager at Laie had to have surgery and ended up needing until the 2nd of january to recuperate. see, before christmas, W had been warned that he might need to cover her shift if she went in to have her surgery that week. She didn't, then suddenly on the 26th W gets the call that she went in and he'll have to cover. He ends up covering all her freakin' shifts, more or less. Then she returns to work, only to discover she can't walk and will need to take more time off; her expected date of return? the 2nd of January, after the holidays are done. hmm.. how unfortunate for her and her family for her to have to go through this at such a time? sheyah... right. more like, how nice she gets to rest at home instead of having to take care ofher store like everyone else. and i'd really like to know, why is W the only one who can cover her shifts? his store is barely staffed as it is, it's kind of even understaffed. His schedules were made, so when he had to go cover her shifts, his store was stranded. his people were the ones who ended up working extra shifts and hours to cover his absence instead of stupid bitch's store having to suffer. how much sense does that make?? anyway, that's over and done with. now there's all this stupid other shit going on with that company. makes me wanna bang someone's head on a wall. i lost my new X files calendar that DC sent me for christmas. i was going to put it up on the wall in place of the 2000 one, but i couldn't find it. i started to panic because i thought that i might have accidently sent it to jen-e when i put her box together. oh well, guess i'll just have to wait to see if she says anything about it. then i was looking a few days later, for my folder because it had a letter to jen-e in it that i wanted to mail to her. i couldn't find my folder which was more that a little irritating because i keep seeing it everywhere until i actually need it and then it's gone. however i did find my calendar so i happily put that up, a few days late, but happy none the less. has everyone made their new year's resolutions? i hope so because we're moving along nice and quick into it, before you know it, it's gonna be valentine's day. so what are yours? come on now, don't be shy! tell me yours and i'll tell you mine? hah! well, i'll tell you mine anyway. to keep in touch with my friends better, to graduate, and to be healthier. well, there, i told you mine, now can you share? school's gonna start soon. on the 14th, at least that's what i keep saying, so i guess i should find out pretty soon if that's right. i'm anxious for it to start because the sooner it starts the sooner it's over and the sooner i can graduate. yay! then again i kind of don't want to face those 6 classes. it's a good thing most of my friends live on the mainland because i don't think i'll be stepping foot away from my books for a while. for those friends who are here... i'm not dead, i'm just studying! well, that's what i should be doing at least. then once this semester is over, it's back to work, at least for the summer. hey i gotta have some way to pay my tuition! well, gotta get closing on this, i still have a few more things to do on my page related to new year changes and i have to get ready to go to the Earth, Wind, and Fire concert with my dad. yes, aren't i the lucky one. i sure do feel like it. i'll end this by saying congratulations to my sister, sarah and her new husband, joshua. they got married yesterday in florida. may this year be the first of many happy ones, together. that was pretty cheesy, i should write greeting cards.
