"Globes and maps they chart your way back home." Here we are again, the start of a new year. Yippee skippy yeehaw! It's time to review the year that's just left us and make all kinds of grandoise plans for this one. This should be fun. Let's be a little bit different and bite off someone else's ideas and do it month by month this time. JANUARY: Our car blew up, which sounds like a bad thing but really wasn't since I hated that car anyway (the Neon). We ended up donating it to charity so I'll get to claim that on our taxes later this month, yay. My resolutions last year were to keep the house cleaner, exercise daily, and keep in touch with my friends better. Hmm...well...I think I kind of flopped on all three although I did make a pretty good effort. I did organize the house so that even when it's messy it's still cleaner than before. I've come to the conclusion that we just need a bigger house. Yes, we have reached saturation, we have too much shit. I'm thinking something with two bedrooms, since this place is technically one bedroom (and a livingroom). More on the bigger place later. As for keeping in touch with my friends. Well, I dunno, I can't remember how it was the year before so I can't say for sure. I did try though, really. Actually I think I did pretty good. I've stayed in regular contact with Mona, going out on a pretty regular basis with her and Corbin too (her new baby). No, I'm gonna call that one a success. Exercise daily... no, but I did exercise a lot more than the year before. Foreshadow alert!!! Furby, the guinea pig died. Sad. FEBRUARY: My new *used* car's radiator blew up! I got a new better one, no charge, so it was ok. The highlight of my month, maybe my year, flew out to LAX to spend Valentine's day with my lovely cousin Ryan. He took me to an ICP concert, which was awesome. We had $7 beer and went to In-n-out or whatever it's called. Yah, I think that's right. G-ma had a little scare when she had to have some kidney stones removed and some other yucky things taken out of her bladder, which, fortunately turned out to be non-cancerous. MARCH: Wayne's 25th bday (3rd), me and Wayne's 2 year anniversary (11th)Ryan left on his ship to go protect our country's freedoms in the middle east, something like that. He was gone for 9 months and I spent lots of time and money sending him cookies, socks, and jerky. That's ok though cuz I love him. APRIL: Got new additions to our family, furry additions. Our new kitty Marika (mari) and our big giant puppy in pit pajamas, Murphy, the irish lap dog. MAY: I graduated from UH finally. Yay and Yay. We got a new TV, a 32 inch Sony Wega flatscreen which sparked the great TV controversy of 2003. The outcome of that was people shouldn't be worrying about what other people spend their money on. ok. JUNE: My 25th bday. Yes, they let me live a whole quarter century. Quit my job which I just started, sparking the great job controversy of 2003. The outcome of that was people shouldn't be worrying about what other people do to earn their money as long as they're paying you yours. Crab Fest at Dixie Grill. Ahhh. so much crab, so delicious, so much crab. Taste of Honolulu, excellent, I highly recommend it. Great place to take a date. Well, I took daa but I'm thinking it'd be a great place to take a date. It was so great. JULY: 28 Days Later starring Cillian Murphy. Awesome movie!! Got the DVD but haven't watched it yet. What's my problem? I dunno maybe we should watch it tonight at dinner?? I wonder if Mom will approve. Pirates of the Carribean, another great July movie. Don't have that DVD yet but it's pretty recent so it's only a matter of time. Robbie the rabbit died, he was really old, it was still sad. AUGUST: G-ma fell off a lady and broke her leg and pelvis. I was elected to fly out to the great land of Mississippi where I remained for a long long time. SEPTEMBER: Still in Mississippi. OCTOBER: Back from Hell, er, I mean Mississippi. Hung out with Matt a lot. Discovered Wayne spent $250 on "champagne" at some skanky house strip club while I was away in MS. NOVEMBER: Thanksgiving mostly. Oh started new job, which I'm still at (ahaha). November just flew by so quick, I didn't notice anything really going on. Oh no wait, Ryan, my cousin came back from his long ass trip to Bahrain. He was only here for a half day though, but we made the most of it. Now he's leaving for A school today and rerating as a corpsman and plans to ask for orders to Hawaii. That's good and bad but that's a discussion for another day. DECEMBER: Christmas of course, New Year's. Nothing much happened, just a lot of working and rushing to get the 'mas shopping done. New Year's eve Wayne was home for the first time since we started dating. He usually worked at Domino's which closed at 9 or 10 but since it took so long to pack the place up, he never made it home by 12. Well, the first year he rushed home and ran up the stairs and gave me a kiss right at 12, but that's the closest it's ever been. This year he was off and actually had to wait for me to get home. Fortunately I finished at 5 and was there in plenty of time. We hung out with the 'rents and Murphy and Wayne's mom. So that was it for this past year. As for this new year... well, I didn't really make any resolutions except maybe to exercise more since I haven't done that for a while. I feel very up in the air and cluttered here. I think our house is too small and it's just getting more and more packed and I'm trying not to freak out and throw everything away because really, it's all stuff we need. I barely even bother cleaning up because it's going to get messy again in a few hours and there's only so much you can do when you have no place to put anything anyway. it's really irritating because I hate when everything is messy like this. It's almost tax time, yay! Turbo Tax online is up, I'm just waiting on the W2s and such. Happy, I want to file right away and hopefully we'll get our refund before March and we can use it for the wedding/honeymoon (which may not happen-the honeymoon, not the wedding). Well off to register for school, hopefully I can find a class I can take.
