South Korea
policy makers will take responsibility for forging the country into a
first-rate nation, based on democracy and a market economy.
Three Major
Principles that they should follow are: -
* Market
Economy
* Democracy
* Productive
Welfare
Five Goals
that we would like to see are: -
*
Enhancement of democracy and human rights.
* Completion
of reform in four major areas and promotion of knowledge and information
capabilities. The use of Information Technology in every field of the business
in order to put the country on the map of technology.
*
Establishment of productive welfare and social security for the people.
* Attainment
of grand unity among the people to foster a national pride.
*
Realization of inter-Korean peace and cooperation with the hope of that we
would reunite as ONE.
Major
Directions we should follow: -
1. Moderate
reform to overcome ideological confrontation
2. Grand
National Unity to overcome regionalism
3. Globalism
to overcome self-righteous nationalism and enhance universal values
4.
Nationalism to heal the division of the country and achieve unification
5. Unity of
the people to bring harmony among generations
6. Political
modus operandi to realize dialogue and compromise
7. Increase
the scale of economic recovery since 1997 Asian Economic Crisis
8. Increase
among of foreign trading with USA, EU, China and Russia.
9. Increase
the overall standard of living.
10. Increase
among of scholarships and grants available for education and sports purposes.
11. Develop
the unique Korean culture again to avoid similarity with the Japanese.
12. Policies
to increase the rights of women in the field of politics.
13. The
Republic will not tolerate any armed provocations from North Korea.
14. The two
sides need to reconcile; dismantle the Cold War structure and start
reunification process (if needed we will absorb).
