Here is the Implementation Council's attempt to provide clarification. This is a DRAFT, based on the Washington State University strategic plan, so read and make suggestions for improvement. For each of the sixteen priorities, a team will be responsible for implementing the strategic plan, including developing and enhancing the list of required actions, devising implementation steps, and assuring accountability. Specific responsibilities include: 1. Expanding, enhancing, or refining the list of required actions for each priority 2. Assigning responsibility for each requiured action to individuals or groups 3. Coordinating the activities of the parties assigned to implement aspects of the action plan 4. Working with other units to tie area plans to the university plans 5. Where feasible developing measurable outcomes and timetables for each required action 6. Assessing, evaluating and documenting the success in accomplishing the desired outcomes 7. Recommending to the Chancellor the creation of external task forces if needed for fund raising or other activities pertaining to achieving the goal 8. Periodically reporting to the Implementation Council on the progress made in implementing the strategic plan priority actions or on problems encountered 9. Prescribing future actions for continual improvement 10. Reporting minutes of meetings to the Academic Senate website 11. Sharing Best Practices develop (researched) by teams 12. Making budget recommendations based on data gathered Deadline: biennium budget recommendations need to be submitted to the Implementation Council by April 15.
