OBJECTIVE: The objective of this assignment is to expose you to the landmarks and landscape of one of several of the areas in central Honolulu. The Honolulu Star Bulletin has made a nice web-site of land marks in Downtown, Chinatown and the Capitol District. It was at: http://starbulletin.com/specials/holoholo/ but is now at: http://archives.starbulletin.com/specials/holoholo/ .
INSTRUCTIONS: Visit the Star Bulletin's Holoholo web-site for the assigned area. (Downtown) Read about the land marks. Make a map (printed from the web-site, photocopied from your BSM, or printed from Google Earth, on which to mark the route that you will take to see the landmarks described for this part of town. Go to and walk along the route that you've mapped out, visiting each of the sites, and noting both the starting time and the ending time for your walk. Here's the tricky part. Along the way, also pick out another landmark that you notice which did not make it into the DBEDT/Star Bulletin list. Write a one page description for it that is like the ones on the web-site.
HAND-IN: A two page write-up that includes:
