Young To: Hawai'i Fans: ; Subject: Show Report 6/7/2007 Passing this on from local fan Cheryl, who just came back from LV [he had been sick and throwing up the week before Cheryl went, according to mainland fans who went and who unfortunately got a shortened show --JY]: Barry's Show Review--Thursday. June 7, 2007 Barry started out rather weak, IMO. Seemed like he wasn't feeling it-- you know? He seemed out of it, but as the night went on, he sounded much better. I heard that the night before, the crowd wasn't as responsive so he did one of those "okay" concerts. Guess he wasn't sure about tonight. The audience was on the older side, but Barry's fans were of course, very supportive. I had a really good seat--- M2,RK,S37. smack in the middle. He brought out many of the '60s and '70s songs and did Love Is A Many Splendored Thing, which I'm getting tired of--not the song just the act. He sang Moonlight Serenade and picked a lady on the right side of the stage [yes, I confirmed with Cheryl--he does the dance-thang on the right side now, and the doobie-thang on the left side, no more jacket-thang --JY]. She was sitting in seat 5. I noticed that as he was approaching that side to choose a dance partner, she had the biggest smile on her face. But the dance was short. Could it have been a minute? He asked her name and where she was from. On the other side of the stage, he did his marijuana thingy. I really got a kick out of that. He took a hit, had a smile on his face, and giggled. He should know, huh? He made it look all too real. LOL!!! They did the run around the piano gig, where the four of them would take turns playing. Cool--I like that. He also mentioned other shows in Las Vegas such as Elton John, Celine Dion, Blue Man Group, and Menopause. And went on to say that we have menopause right here too. Yeah, funny. Then as he did his intro into the '60s, he said he was having "hot flashes"-- oops, he said he meant "flashbacks". LOL!!! He also sang, All The Time, What The World Needs Now Is Love, Even Now, NY City Rhythm, and William Tell Overture to name a few. All in all, it was a great show. He always puts on great shows and that always makes me want to see him over and over again. I can never get enough of him. Oh, in the audience he introduced two celebrities, Melissa Etheridge and Rosie O'Donnell. They were sitting two rows away from me. They left in a flash as soon as the show was over. Barry's voice remains strong and moves like there was nothing ever wrong. What a man, what a talent, and what a showman.
