Other Theater Activities
    Scripted, produced and partially directed a total theater production of "Pag-ibig sa Tinubuang Lupa", a literary musical production of nationalistic Filipino songs and poems in honor of the Philippine Centennial Celebration performed at the Spalding Auditorium, University of Hawaii at Manoa, November 20.
    Executive producer, "Katipunan: the Cry for Freedom". This is a full-length historical drama writtend by Bonifacio Ilagan and was translated (to English) by Boots Pascual, performed at Leeward Community College (August 15, 16, 17), Castle High School (August 23-24) and UH Campus Center Ballroom (August 28, 29, 30).
    Producer and musical background accompanist, "Pilandok!" excerpt of a dance drama having the same title by Sining Kambayoka of the Mindanao State University. Performed at the SEASSI (Southeast Asian Studies Summer Institute) Cultural Night, Arizona State University, August 3.
    Wrote lyrics on the topic of Filipino WW II veterans, for the song recital of a Filipino American Student. Performed at University of California-Berkeley, May 13.
    Producer and Director, "Panunuluyan", a Filipino Christmas street drama based on Joseph and Mary's search for an inn, performed free to the public by my Tagalog 201 class, Waipahu Cultural Gardens, December 5.
    Founder, Katipunan Theater Desk, the theater arm of the Katipunan (Tagalog) Club. This club produced the following plays with free public performances:
    1. "Pamana ng Katipunan" (Legacy of Katipunan), performed at Schofield Barracks Library Asia-Pacific Month, May 6; St Francis Church Filipino May Festival Celebration, May 10; Philippine Consulate Independence Day Celebration, June 12; and the Filipino Youth Celebration at the Honolulu Hale, August 26.
    2. "In the Still of the Night", a skit about Filipino Ghost Stories, Waipahu Plantation Village, October 28. Producer and director, "Lam-Ang", a short stage adaptation by IP 396 students of the epic "Lam-ang", performed at the UH Filipino Drama Festival, April 20; Fil-Am and PLCC "Gabing Pilipino" show, April 24; Schofield Barracks Library Asia-Pacific Month, May 6.
    Producer and director, "Panunuluyan", Waipahu Plantation Village, December17.
    Produced and directed, "Panunuluyan", with PLCC, Sulyap Dancers and Silangan Singers as cast members. Performed at the Honolulu Academy of Arts, December 20; UH-Manoa Campus, December 4.
    Producer and Organizer, "Pabasa" a 24-hour non-stop chanting of the life of Christ called Pasyon in Tagalog done traditionally in the Philippines during the lenten season. St. Theresa's Co- Cathedral Auditorium, March 17-18.
    Playwright, Producer and Director, "Awiyao", performed by my IP 396 students at the Filipino Drama Festival, April 8; "Gabing Pilipino Program", UH Campus Center Ballroom, April 13.
    Producer and organizer, "Pabasa", St, Theresa's Co-Cathedral Auditorium, May 23/24.
