RAW has become an effective instrument of Indian national power, and has assumed a significant role in carrying out India's domestic and foreign policies. It works directly under the Prime Minister and its structure and operations are kept secret from Parliament. Research and Analysis Wing (RAW) is India’s equivalent of the CIA. This web site is developed and maintained by a group of people belonging to various Indian ethnic and religious minorities. It describes India’s use of terrorism as a weapon to subdue and oppress minorities and neighboring countries. It is useful to help me understand what crimes India has committed so that I know how other countries view India and the precautions I need to take in my role as the Intelligence Officer.

It is important for me to know what the CIA ‘s goals are, and the best place to first understand this is in my own country, the U.S. George J. Tenet became Director of Central Intelligence on July 11, 1997. As DCI, he heads the US Intelligence Community and also directs the Central Intelligence Agency.
