Rubus rosifolius was introduced to Hawai`i from Jamaica in the 1880s and is currently found on all main islands except Ni`ihau and Kaho`olawe.  This weedy species invades disturbed mesic to wet forest and is considered one of Hawai`i's most invasive horticultural plants.
