This is your chance to enjoy the beautiful outdoors and exercise genuine Filipino pakikisama (camaraderie) with fellow students in the program. Come enjoy good food and authentic Filipino games that will demonstrate age-old traditions of Filipino entertainment.

Come and watch Filipino film masterpieces that express undying values and virtues of the Filipino people. This year, the film is Feng Shui, a horrific thriller that brings to life many practices and superstitious beliefs that govern the lives of many Filipinos.

The Filipino literary experience is rich and powerful. Join us for an evening of prose, poetry, song and dance as
we explore the many ways Filipino language is used to express powerful and encompassing emotions. Famous poet and professor of Filipino, Benilda Aquino, from Ateneo de Manila University, will be gracing this event with selections from her works.

Our guest of honor for this semester, Ms. Benilda Aquino, a prolific writer, poet and active feminist, will be sharing her masterful literary works with the University of Hawaii at Manoa. Ms. Aquino is a distinguished professor of Filipino at the Ateneo de Manila University

DRAMAFEST
Place and Time: Art Auditorium at 1:00 PM

Watch as the 100 and 200-level Filipino students compete for top honors as they perform excerpts from Jose Rizal's Noli me Tangere and El Filibusterismo - two of the hero's most powerful works.
