According to my friend Buddy, from the Pali Paths polyamory discussion group in Honolulu, the difference between men and women is that a man meets a woman he really likes, and he says to himself, "I like her just the way she is. I hope she never changes."
Whereas when a woman meets a man she really likes, she thinks, "I think he's got potential. All I need to do is to change one or two things about him and he could be a great boyfriend."
But the thing is, Buddy says, that men never change.
And women always change.
