Developmental
Process: We were
given a hypothetical situation where a school was given $15,000 to
enhance
student learning through technology. We
were to submit a proposal for the use of this grant.
The assignment was to be completed by a
team. The work seemed to be divided
according to the member’s skills. One
member completed the acquisitions list. Another
member wrote the need and goals. Another
assembled the sections and added pictures. The
assignment was completed mostly according
to who was most able to complete that section. Challenges: Putting a team project
together quickly without setting working parameters proved to be a
challenge.
Enough time was a challenge. But
everyone and everything seemed to come together. Click

II. Gradebook Spreadsheet
Developmental
Process: We were
to replace the old paper gradebook with an electronic spreadsheet. We were to work individually using
excel. Most of the sections were easy to
accomplish. It was tricky to find
average scores, median scores, and grades. Overall,
it was fun to add colors and graphics to make a
rather boring recording
process of recording exciting. Challenges: The formulas were
tricky. At one point I ad the same
number repeatedly. But it worked out.
III. Technology Integrated Lesson Plan
Developmental
Process: We were
to select a lesson to that we could teach involving teacher and student
use of
technology. It was an individual
assignment in which we had to think quickly about the topic and how it
would be
taught. I got my topic, reviewed
material, and proceeded to put it into powerpoint format. It was
confusing at first until assistants in the CRC helped and made
it simpler. Playing with the program
first without having to actually produce anything really helped. Chanllenge: Facing a new program
without help was daunting. I found that
I need immediate feedback and don’t do well learning on my own. This is something to remember when working
with students. Click
