Publishing – Technology Plan
This was a team project. When working as a
team, it's really
important to set up working parameters ahead of time: times when the
team can
meet, discuss and make decisions; computer compatibility and strengths
of members.
Communication between the team members was
challenging
because the assignment period was short and the team needed to set up a
working
relationship quickly. I would've liked to have had a better idea of the
final
product and what it would take to complete it as a team.
The breaking up of the project into phases
was helpful. My mind was overwhelmed by
the title
"technology plan" and I froze. The advice to just "stick with
it" is a good one. I need to be
patient and take it one step at a time. The
It would've been great to have more time. The short assignment period was stressful but
looking at the entire course, perhaps that's just the way it has to be
to get
this assignment done.

The most important lesson was that this can
be done on the
computer and it actually could make my life easier when doing grades
for some
classes. I kept trying different things
and got frustrated a lot. My frustration
level is getting higher but it does help to stop at a point and get
help.
The most difficult part was figuring out the
functions for
median and average. I started getting
the same number for all the cells and was helped to discover why. There was a point at which I wanted to just
get the calculator. I took an excel class years ago and never used it. Consequently, I forgot everything. I would have liked some simple exercises
leading up to this spreadsheet project.

Integrated Lesson Plan
I greatest thing was that I did it! It wasn't fancy. I
was on a time crunch but I could do it - it
wasn't impossible. It's a very useful
tool. You don't have to cart tons of
material around in boxes. Everything is
right in your handy computer file.
Pictures, texts and the ability to access more - pretty
amazing.
Not having the proper technological
equipment was a
difficulty. That and not having enough
time. Having to figure equipment needs
and troubleshoot why and why not was
