Other important material elements in bodyboards are the deck and rail skins. These materials function as more than just a comfortable riding surface, they also contribute to the stiffness and projection of the board.

Cross-link:

Has a smooth texture and a nice finish. However it scuffs easily can create rash and doesn't enhance the projection of the board as well as PE Skins.

High density PE Skins:

Enhances projection, is scuff resistant and durable but has a rough looking finish.
