Dust Mites
Dust mites are tiny insects (usually too small to be seen) that feed off of dead skin cells that your body sloughs-off. They can be found in almost every home on materials that frequently tough skin and have a surface suitable for trapping dead skin cells and give dust mites a place to hide, such as mattresses, pillows, furniture, clothes, and stuffed toys. Dust mite droppings are common asthma triggers.
Do minimize dust mites, allergen-proof covers for pillows, mattresses, and furniture may be purchased. Also, wash your bedding and stuffed toys weekly. Finally, dust and vacuum as frequently as possible to control buildup of dust might droppings. If those measures fail to work, you can consider removing carpeting and rugs, because wooden and tile floors are less suitable for dust mites.
