Peru's Government Official Tourism Website
The "what to do?" section of the Peruvian government's tourism site will give you a good idea of what Peru has to offer visitors. Activities are divided into three categories: Culture, adventure, and nature.
United Nations Educational Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) World Heritage Sites
The main objective of creating the list of World Heritage Sites was to protect the world's cultural and natural treasures. World Heritage Sites are of "outstanding universal value" and must meet at least one of ten cultural and natural criteria. There are currently 11 UNESCO World Heritage Sites in Peru.
There are 1,195 things to do listed in Lonely Planet's website. The list includes activites, entertainment, restaurants, shopping, sights, and tours. The list is ranked and it is possible to view not only reviews written by Lonely Planet, but also reviews written by those who have travelled before you. You can view the list by category or by region.
The Frommer's website describes six of their favorite experiences in Peru. They also have several "Best Of Peru" lists such as "best museums", "best shopping", and "best outdoor adventures".
