Temporary, Part-Time South Asia Librarian, University of Hawaii at Manoa, Hamilton Library, Asia Department, Honolulu, Hawaii. (February 2015 - Present)
Worked & discussed with a team of librarians in the Asia Department on library projects and issues. Assist University faculty, students, and community members with reference questions & acquisition requests in person and via e-mail. Responsible for: 1) the acquisition of materials relating to South Asia using GOBI and MOSS, and through correspondence with librarians from the Library of Congress (LOC) in New Delhi; 2) decisions on the de-selection or replacement of damaged or lost books; and 3) decisions on LOC call numbers. Provided a tour and instruction of the library online catalog for researcher of South Asian Studies.
