Answer: Copyright: Is the legal right granted to companies and or person to sell, distribute literary, musical, dramatic, or artistic works.

Plagiarize: For one person to copy work of another and pass it off as it's own.



2. What exactly is Article I, section 8, clause 8 of the U.S. Constitution?

Answer: To promote the progress of science and useful arts, by securing for limited times to authors and inventors the exclusive right to their respective writings and discoveries.



3. What types of "original works of authorship" does copyright include?

Answer:Musical works with the lyrics, dramtic works including accompanying music, literary works, pantomimes and choreographics, pictorial, graphics, sculptures, motion pictures and audialvisual works, sound recordings, and architectural works.



4. When was the Digital Millennium Copyright Act signed into law? How much could you be fined for infringement of this law?

Answer:October 28th 1998, If convicted you could be fined a minimum of two million dollars.



5. According to the National Information Infrastructure (NII), when is it considered that copying a web page has occurred?

Answer:Any text, graphics, scripts, data, and code has been copied.



6. What is the most prudent way to use copyrighted material? For example, if you wanted to use an image of Darth Vader on your web site, what should you do?

Answer:Get a licensed rights of the particular image from the copyright owner. In this license you must follow the condition on using the particular image and any fees for using such image (i.e. licensing fee and royalties.)



7. What is the Public Domain? Can you use images found in the Public Domain? Find any image in the Public Domain and paste it into the paragraph with the rest of your answer to this question.

Answer:Anything that is not under the protection of the copyright law. You can use the images that is under the public domain and only that image.

Answer:Is a provision that states that any copyrighted items can be duplicated for purpose education (i.e. teaching, scholorship and or research), comments, criticism, news reporting. Is the purpose is for education or nonprofit or commercial. The nature of the copyrighted work. How substantial is the work being used in relation to the work as a whole. What is the effect of the value of the copyrighted work. Yes I am allowed to copyrighted images on the page due to the fact that this page is not for profit, it is being used for educatinal purposes.
