I'm Still In Love With You

By: Keoni Dunn

Things change and people grow apart

But nothing can change what I feel in my heart.

I have always loved you...I will always love you.

What the fates plan for us, I have no clue.

You were the first, you were the best.

You stand head and shoulders above the rest.

Having pet names, even calling you Miss,

Was sure to make me smile and put me in bliss.

A tender touch; a tender kiss;

Holding your small hand; all set my heart amiss.

Alone in April, we held each other tight.

We talked on the phone through the evening and into the night.

In our lab group we did half our work at best,

But you were always the better student when it came to the test.

That was the past and this is now.

We remained friends, I don't know why or how.

Our worlds are apart, at times crossing paths.

If our worlds collided, where would we be in the aftermath?

Maybe we'll continually pass each other,

Or one might be whisked away.

What lies in store for the future?

That, none of us can say.
