These are some of the tightest rappers, in my opinion anyways, of today and from the past.  Click on a picture to here what I have to say about them...

In my opinion, these are some of the craziest rappers ever.  Its a shame that 2Pac and the Notorious B.I.G. both had to die.  They would still be producing phat tracks today otherwise.  Most rappers today are crappy or are turning all poppy.  Some of them I don't even consider rappers anymore.  But at least Eminem and DMX are staying true to hip hop.  Keep doin' your thang dawgs!

Tupac Shakur

2Pac (AKA Makaveli), or Tupac Amaru Shakur, was the greatest rapper that ever was.  He was ahead of his time.  No rapper or rappers come close to his phenomenal talent.  Like Elvis or Michael Jackson, he is one of those few "untouchables."  Tupac was first known as MC New York when he and his family had moved to Baltimore when he was 15.  He eventually joined the rap group called Digital Underground in late 80s.  In 1991, he left the group to go make it big on his own.  He was shot five times and robbed in November of 1994, but Tupac some how lived.  However, Tupac died on September 13, 1996, after being shot by a mysterious gunman on September 7.  There has been evidence found that the rapper known as the Notorious B.I.G. was directly linked to Tupac's shooting, but not much is known still.

2Pac's rhymes are just purely sick.  His flow is like no other and he puts all his energy into each one.  He is a lyrical genius and he is one of the few musicians that have deep meanings within his songs.  He is simply my number one.

1971 - 1996

Notorious B.I.G.

Though the Notorious B.I.G. (AKA Biggie Smalls), or Chris Wallace, doesn't even come close to 2Pac, he is still one hell of a rapper.  The number two of all time in my book.  Biggie was found by Sean Combs (AKA Puff Daddy) and was eventually signed to Bad Boy Records.  He was successful until he was shot and killed in 1997.  Evidence has found that Biggie was directly linked to the murder of hip hop artist Tupac Shakur.  Supposedly he paid the hitman $1 million and supplied the weapon.  It is still unclear, however.

Like 2Pac, Biggie was a lyrical genius.  His poetic flows are still impressive to this day.  His content used for his rhymes, however, was limited unlike 2Pac.

Eminem

Eminem, or Marshall Mathers, is the illest white boy to ever rap, and at the moment, is one of the sickest rappers.  His albums have only been getting better and now that he has launched his acting career, it seems as though Eminem is on top of the world.

Eminem has some very tight rhymes.  He is a great lyrical poet with a lot of energy in his songs.  Eminem is unreal at ripping apart other celebrities, which is obvious if you've ever heard any of his songs.  He started off with a limited range of content, but now he is expanding to a variety of other subjects to rap about.

DMX

DMX, also known as Dark Man X or Divine Master of the Unknown, is one of the tightest gangster rappers out.  He is mysterious and is laying low for the moment.  DMX hardly ever works with anyone else and gets his albums sold on his own.

DMX's style of rap resembles the legendary Tupac.  He flows with intense energy and has hidden messages within his rhymes.  His content of rap isn't limited either.  All he needs to do is come up with more albums.
