In place of a formal presentation to end our semester, scholars hosted a STEM Day at the Kawananakoa Gym inviting the communities and schools of Keaukaha. Students, K-12, from Keaukaha Elementary, Ka 'Umeke Ka'eo Public Charter School, and Ke Ana La'ahana visited our 14 stations learning and participating in related activities about Chemistry, GIS mapping, Bi-valves, Opihi Monitoring, Marine Resource Management, Aquaponic systems, Dry Forest restoration, etc. Our scholars did a great job engaging the next generation in STEM.
