Proctoring Services Information

Test proctoring services are available for students taking assessment tests for institutions outside of the University of Hawaii system. To ensure a trouble-free proctoring experience, the student will responsible for making the necessary arrangements with their home institution and the Kapiolani Community College Testing Center, as well as paying any proctoring fees, if applicable.

COMPASS Placement Testing for Non-UH System Institutions

If you are taking the COMPASS test for an institution outside of the University of Hawaii system, please walk-in during our normal placement testing hours. A photo ID and social security number are required. You will also need the contact information of the institution requesting the test, a contact person and title (or department), and fax number. Without this information, we will not be able to forward your scores to the college you are applying to.
Let our testing staff know that you will be taking COMPASS for a non-UH system school.

Arranging to Take a Proctored Exam (non-COMPASS Tests)

Please schedule a date and time to take your test with Arnie Reyes, Computing and Testing Center Manager.

Once approved, let your home institution know that your test will be proctored by the Kapiolani Community College Testing Center. Your home institution will request instructions on where to send the exam material. If the exam is being sent by US Mail, UPS, FedEx, or DHL, our mailing address is:

Photo ID required for ALL services: NO ID -- NO TEST.

UH or KCC student or faculty ID
Drivers license
State ID
Passport
Military ID
Permanent Resident Card (I-151 or I-551)
High-school ID (for those without any of the above IDs

On the day of your test...

Please arrive on the day and time scheduled.

We follow all exam guidelines as provided by your home institution. We will advise you of the instructions prior to starting your exam.

Please fill out this form, and bring it with you to the testing center. We have additional forms on file.

A standard systemwide proctoring fee of $25 per hour, per test, applies.

The fee can be payable by cash or check only. Checks should be made payable to "Kapiolani Community College."

Important note: If proctoring fees are not paid, your exam will not be sent.
