Testing Policy and Procedures

For online courses, your instructor will send us a test instruction sheet with class roster in advance of the first date in which you can take your exam.

If you are taking a traditional lecture class and cannot take your exam at the appointed time, you can make arrangements with your instructor to "make-up" the exam at the testing center. Your instructor will deliver the exam to us, and we will administer the test on their behalf.

Signing In

The check-in area is outside of Room 101 - check with testing staff first. You will be asked to produce a photo ID and sign-in.

Students taking an online or paper-based test will sign-in using their UH Username. Your username is what you use to access your email, MyUH Portal, and Laulima. You are expected to know your course, course number, instructor last name, and exam/quiz/test number at check-in, as this is required information.

Personal Property

All exams are "closed book" and "closed notes" unless specifically approved by your instructor. All personal property (including but not limited to books, notes, purses, bags, phones, pagers, PDAs) must be placed on the bookshelf or underneath the table, out-of-sight, and out-of-reach.
