| Chek Lap Kok The Hong Kong International Airport is located in Chek Lap Kok. The Hong Kong International Airport opened on July 6, 1998, replacing the old airport at Kai Tak. The opening generates a major change in Hong Kongs transport system. There is a high-speed rail link connecting the airport with Hong Kong downtown. The completion of the Hong Kong International Airport costs HK$155.3 billion and it is the largest construction project in Hong Kong. |
