Heavyweight
There are many artists in the graffiti
world who started off using spray can but now work as fine artists or designers.
The Heavyweight crew is one such collective from Montreal, comprising Dan
Buller, Tyler Gibney and Gene Pendon. Founded in 1998 as Heavyweight Art Installations,
the crew specializes in colorful canvases, and its painting often feature
life size thematic portraits of musicians or political activists on an abstract
and quite complex background.
