The Computational Water Resources Modeling and Uncertainty Quantification Lab at the University of Hawaii at Manoa is seeking applications for multiple PhD students in numerical modeling and uncertainty quantification with an emphasis on:

1. subsurface flow and transport modeling in HPC

2. high-dimensional inverse modeling and data assimiliation

3. nearshore and riverine bathymetry estimation.

Applications with a strong background in applied math (numerical linear algebra and functional analysis) and statistics, and expericence in C/Python/Julia programming will be considered.
