Pre-Requisites:

This course is requirement for all incoming BBA students. As a result you should have all had the requirement courses to enter the BBA program. This includes the ICS 101 course. You will be required to produce Spreadsheets, NICE Word Processor documents, and professional looking Powerpoint slides. Everyone should know how to surf the web and read e-mail from Day 1!!

Course Description:

BUS 311 Information Systems for Global Business Environment - Skills and strategies for using external information resources applied to local and global business issues; advanced skills in computer-based analytical techniques and information management; impact of information technology on business operations. Must be taken in first semester of BBA program.

Justin Goo's Section places emphasis on "real world" experience. Instead of just regurgitating a lot of information from the textbook, students will be required to use technology to produce realistic reports and web pages, and give presentations as if they were to be submitted to an employer or a client. After completing the course, students should be immediately hirable and comfortable with current information technology as is used in businesses today.
