Grading
The grading for this course will be based on BOTH points and curve. You will have the opportunity to obtain up to 1000 points. However in the spirit of competition, in order to get an A or a B you will also have to rank in the appropriate quartile of your class.
| Points | Quartile | Grade |
| 900 or Above | Top 25% | A |
| 800 or Above | Top Half | B |
| 700 or Above | C | |
| 600-699 | D | |
| 599 or Below | F |
This means that in order to get an A you must have a final score of over 900 and be in the top 25% of your class. If you score over 900 and you are not in the top 25%, you will get a B. If you are in the top 25% but you score isn't over 900, you will still get a B. If you want an A in this class, you will definitely have to earn it.
I do not want to have to flunk anyone, however this class is one of the core classes in the CBA. That means that if you do not perform up to the standard of quality expected of a CBA student, you will have to retake this class until you demonstrate that you can deliver the quality of work that we expect.
