4nTongues' winning video for the CMA Hawaii Music Awards. Earning a $500 grant for their organization.

What is 4nTongues?

4nTongues is a non-profit type Hip-Hop organization based out of Leeward Community College in Hawaii. The name was barrowed from the Emcee collective known as Native Tongues and was made to represent the Hip-Hop Theory we foster. The actual break down of the name is as follows - "4" represents the original 4 elements, "4n" is the call to our motto seen in quotations below, and "Tongues" refers to a type of communication or expression.

"They took of the lands, our native sons. Supressed our ways, and songs once sung. They exchanged our language for a foreign one. So now we are 4nTongues."

Mission Statement

We aim to contribute to the growth and support of the Hawaii Hip-Hop community, by passing on the elements to the newer generations and supporting the local artists who have dedicated themselves to upholding these practices.
