PARTICIPATE. In a completely online class, you don't physically "attend" a class, but attendance is still vitally important. In a virtual classroom, you attend by posting or sending messages. By completing and distributing class work via the Internet on or before the due date, you let your classmates and the instructor know that you're "present." If you fail to post timely messages in the cyber classroom, your instructor and classmates will consider you "absent." If you post messages after the deadline, the "classroom" will be empty in the sense that the class has moved on to other activities and are no longer "there" to read your posts. Thus, don't be late!
