    • Requirements Analysis

The Requirements Analysis documents were produced per our Requirements Analysis Plan.

The Root Concept describes this project's focus. It states what this project hopes to accomplish, what improvements can be made to the current Resume Index service, who will be affected by this project, and what initial assumptions are made. This document organizes the rationale that motivated proposed Resume Index improvements.

The Interview Guide is a guide for questions to ask during interviews with users to discover impressions of the current system, opinions concerning possible improvements, and current trends.

Artifact Analysis is a brief analysis of the current Resume Index service. It is a culmination of the responses from the three user interviews conducted.

User Role Models describes the different types of roles that users of the service may be categorized into. There are four roles. An Administrator refers to the person(s) that maintains the service. This person(s) will most likely be the administrator for the entire ICS web site. A Recruiter is a person that is looking to the Resume Index for potential help. Therefore, this person could be an employer looking for employees, a faculty or staff member looking for student assistants, or a student looking for mentors. Resume Posters are people authorized to post their resume on the Resume Index service. This User Role Model is reserved for ICS faculty, alumni, or current students. Finally, a Resume Viewer is someone who is looking for a resume. For example, this person could be a student looking at posted resumes to improve the format and content of their own resume.

A User Role Map depicts the relationships and duties among the various User Roles.

The Problem Scenario describes scenarios in which stakeholders interact with the current service. They show the positive and negative features of the Resume Index and how those features affect the stakeholders.

Essential Use Cases breaks down the interactions between the stakeholders and the service that were mentioned in the Problem Scenario. The interactions are broken down in a step-by-step manor, describing both the user's and the service's reactions to what the other wants.

The Claims Analysis catalogs the different features found in the Problem Scenario and lists the positive and negative consequences of each feature.

The Entity-Relationship diagram shows the relationship among the user data that is currently stored in the Resume Index service as well as the relationship among the data that will be collected by the proposed service.

The Data-Flow Diagram shows the relationships among the data, users, processes, and data storage.
