What is Cancer?

Cancer is an abnormal cell that grow chaotically and spread in an out of control manner.  Normal cells grow, divide, and die respectively.  However, cancer cells grow and divide and spread.  When these cells form lumps, they are called tumors.  Tumors can break loose and invade a new site, which is called metastasis.  If cancer's first site is the lungs and it metastasizes to the kidney, then we will name it lung cancer, because we name cancer of its origin site.  The reason why cancer is dangerous is because it invades normal cells and spreads throughout one's body until its host dies or the cancer is removed.
