The June Chun Naughton International Student Services Endowed Schorlarship
has been established to honor June C. Naughton on the occasion of her retirement
in 1998 as Director of the International Student Services at the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa. For over 35 years, June C. Naughton assisted international students at UH
Manoa to adjust to campus and community life and make contribution to intercultural
understanding. Among her many notable accomplishments, she started the first
leadership organization for the international student called PALS - Peer Advocate
Leadership Society - which has evolved into a very strong International Student
Association. Her strong sense of loyalty and commitment to international students
through this endowment continues her legacy. |
