I joined the Information and Computer Science (ICS) Club in the Spring 2000 semester. Since I first
joined, I've held the positions of webmaster and treasurer. I met Dan and Mike and a lot of cool
people through the club. So I guess you could say that the ICS Club and the people in it are an
important part of my life.
Aaron - Aaron is a recent addition to the ICS Club madhouse but since he signed up he's added a lot to the club. One case in point is the "All your base are belong to us" video. He's going to be the webmaster next semester. Check out his webpage on the links page. Aditya - Aditya is damn cool. He has a gnarly beard and wears cowboy boots. He and Sid are brothers. When he first joined I thought that he was older than Sid but it was the opposite way around. Candice - There's no other way to say this--Candice scares me. Nah, I'm just joking, thought she'd like that. Candice is a very creative person, she's been in The Rocky Horror Show at Leeward and she's made some pretty awesome glass stuff. Craig - If you walk into the clubroom and see a guy blowing his nose, chances are it's Craig. Craig is slightly arrogant (in a good way) and he's obsessed with Infantry and Counterstrike. Cynthia - I didn't really know Cynthia until this past semester, when she took the office of president. She's really reliable and she's a great artist. She can also strike fear into the hearts of Josh (her boyfriend) and Ron. Dav - The conversations that I have with Dav range from the mundane (how classes are going) to the vaguely insulting. He's always a good sounding board and his favorite thing in the world to do is make money. Deanna - Deanna doesn't swing by the clubroom much anymore but she did when we took ICS 141. Deanna used to work at Jelly's and I'd go by to bother her every once in a while. Edmo - I like Edmo because he thinks that I have "html expertise". He participates in a lot of club events. Grant - MOO! Grant is a pretty easygoing guy. He doesn't even get angry at me when I say stupid stuff like, "you know, you'd make a pretty girl." Greg - I've probably known Greg, Rob, Reed and Ryan the longest out of all the club members. Greg, Rob, Ryan and I all took ICS 111 together. Greg works at JAIM now and hardly comes around. Josh - Duck tongue! Josh is from Taiwan and is pretty adventurous when it comes to food. Dan and I were trying to think of a food that he wouldn't eat but we still haven't come up with one. He's full of interesting stories--even if three quarters of them aren't appropriate for general company. Leilani - Leilani started coming to the room with Candice. She's very calm and relaxed--the exact opposite of Candice. I've never seen her in a bad mood. Matt - Another one of Candice's friends. He looks a little like Kid Rock. He has a sick sense of humor that almost rivals Josh's. Michelle - Aaron's girlfriend. I don't know her too well but she seems pretty nice. She's an engineering major. Nelson - Nelson is tall and he has an interesting accent even though he was born here (I think?). Reed - I met Reed in my performance of literature class. He's not exactly the most tactfull guy in the club but he usually means well. Rob - Rob is also known as Alice. He's experienced a lot over his life and is always willing to let you learn from his mistakes. Ron - It's very rare to see Ron out of his standard uniform, black sweatpants and a white t-shirt. He has a webcomic up about the club now. I like to tease him and call him massage whore. He says that he's the club pet because everybody feeds him and he entertains us. Royce - Royce is a genuinely good guy. I'd have to say that I'm honored to count him among my friends. Ryan - Ryan is into anime in the way Larry Flynt is into magazines. His favorite genre is hentai and his sketchbook is filled with scantily clad women. Once I was looking at a drawing book of his and I almost got in trouble. Sandra - Sandra is pretty nifty. She's majorly into DDR and she has a neat site that I go to a lot. One of her handles is Waffler. Yum, waffles. T.B. - Speaking of breakfast food, one of the things that T.B. and I discuss is cereal. We both agree that it is good anytime of day. We must have had the same cereal conversation three times now. Sid - My mom thinks that Sid is going to be governor someday, I'd have to say that I agree with her. Sewell - I'm always putting Sewell last for some reason. Maybe it's because he irks me so much. Nah, that's only part of it. Sewell hangs out with Aaron a lot and has somehow failed to corrupt him. |
