TWO SITUATIONS TO CONSIDER:
1.
GO TO CAMBODIA AND GET MARRIED OVERTHERE
Things and papers that you need:
A- Photos ( of passport size ) of yourself and
your wife
B- US Immigration form I-130 ( petition
for brother/wife/mother...etc)
G325A ( biography declaration, 1 for you / 1 for your wife)
C- Fee $100.00 as of 2001
D- Marriage certificate made in Cambodia ( note that it should
be in English and
Cambodian )
E- A sworn statement certified by a US Notary Public that you are
still single here
in the United States of America. This can be done in the US Embassy
in Phnom Penh as well.
F- A copy of your US citizenship ( notarized of course ).
When you are back in the United States, you must prepare the affidavit
of support
(Form I-134 ? ) to sponsor your wife over. Not everybody can
sponsor his wife over.
Minimum annual income required is $11,000.00 ( probably a little
more in Hawaii ).
2. FIANCEE FIRST AND GET MARRIED WITHIN 90 DAYS :
In this situation, you would go to Cambodia first. You would spend
sometime with your
fiancee such as going to different places, taking some pictures together....etc.
When you are back to the United states, you would file Form I-129
and then manage to
get married within 90 days of the day you step in the United States.
Your fiancee might get
a Visa to come to United States with you - pending your ability to convince
the US
Embassy in Phnom Penh.
