If OCLC has a full record for a photocopy of a UHM thesis that is in Voyager, held by a Library other than Manoa:

a) Ensure there is a 843 tag in the other library's MFHD; notify them if tag not present

b) In the notification, copy the 533 tag data as part of the email you send -- that way, they will have the documentation that they need to create the 843 tag, and we can procede with the overlay. If there is no 533 tag, inform them of that fact.

c) Once the other library has been notified, create the UHM Prelim record, but do not file it into the database

c) Copy the subject headings from the full OCLC record into the UHM Prelim record

d) Copy the OCLC 035 tag(s) from the photocopy record

e) Paste the OCLC 035 tag(s) into the UHM Prelim record

f) File the UHM Prelim record, this will overlay the earlier bib copy with the enhanced UHM Prelim

f) Create additional MFHDs and ITEMs as usual

g) Count paper stats as a prelim

h) Send original thesis to Cataloger of the Week

i) Send any additional paper copies to Preservation for binding
