Maximum thickness of bindable materials is 2 (two) inches. If the material is thicker than this, split into two (or more) discrete sections.
300 tag in bib record should describe the original configuration, i.e., described the book as published:
‡a ca. 800 leaves (loose-leaf) : ‡b ill., maps ; ‡c 30 cm.
while the MFHD should describe the edited configuration, i.e.:
852  0     ‡b OuzW ‡h TJ809.96.H3 ‡i R46 1995 ‡z <bound in 2 v.>
