Hawai'i Review is pleased to announce that Tamara Pavich has won the First Annual Ian MacMillan Award for Fiction, for her story "Deacon" which will appear in issue #65 in the Fall. The award comes with a $500 prize.

Also, Hawai'i Review is pleased to announce that Abe Louise Young has won the First Annual Nell Altizer Award for Poetry. Her work will appear in issues #64 and #65. The award comes with a $500 prize.

Hawai'i Review announces the Ian MacMillan award for fiction and The Nell Altizer Award for Poetry. The prizes are $500 for the best story and $500 for the best poem submitted for issues #64 and #65.
