I am an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mathematics at the University of Hawaiʻi at Hilo, and a member of the ʻIke Wai (water knowledge) team.

One of the ʻIke Wai project goals is the establishment of a data science curriculum at the University of Hawaiʻi at Hilo. My academic background in mathematical statistics and the development of computational tools for data analysis will ensure that the program contains a rigorous statistical foundation.
